Stevens & Company will assist you in the following:

♦2) learn about treatment programs,
♦3) Create your future care plan.
Find a counselor:You may choose to visit a counselor in your home community or travel to another community. You may want a woman counselor or a man; a First Nations counselor or not, or a traditional counselor. Let us know and we will provide you with names and phone numbers.

Future Care: Create your future care plan.
At your hearing, you will be asked if you have plans for future counseling. A paper will be presented that will tell your plans. The government provides ten thousand dollars for future care; this money is completely separate from your settlement.
The Future Care plan may look like the following:
Future Care for IRS Claimant
One on one counseling with Counselor at $150 per session.
IRS Claimant will attend 48 sessions at $150 per session: 48 x $150 = $7200.00
RS Claimant will attend Choices in Vancouver.
Cost of Choices is $2800.00
Total cost of Future Care $7200.00 + $2800.00 = $10,000.00

The treatment programs lasting 42 days deals with alcohol, drug and prescription addictions.
The treatment program lasting 28 days deals with alcohol, drug and prescription addictions.
The treatment program lasting 35 days deals with alcohol, drug, prescription addictions and the trauma of attending a residential school.
Choices: Calgary
Choices' is a 5 day personal growth seminar designed to teach people how to live life to the fullest. During the five days, participants will take an honest look at their lives, finding out where they are at the present, where they've come from and where they would like to be. Participants have the opportunity to move past the troubles that have prevented them from achieving success. They leave with the knowledge that, if used, will help them achieve more of what is working in their lives and less of what isn't. They will be equipped to be the best in all aspects of daily living - their relationships, their work, and their lives.
